Welcome Back on March 16!

Our faculty and staff are beyond excited to welcome you all back to MHS on 3/16. We have been cleared to begin school and MHS is looking great and smelling wonderful! There are few items we wanted to review with you in advance of our students return:
1. While our classrooms will all be ready to go, our Auditorium, Library and Wood Shop are still getting cleaned. This means those areas will not be available to students or teachers during this time. We are hopeful to have those areas after Spring Break, but we will continue to follow the guidelines set forth by the restoration company and health department.
2. School will resume as normal! The bell schedule will be the same as always, FLEX will be back on and we will finish the end of the 3rd quarter. Flex Frenzy will begin on Monday, this means your students should be making Flex passes to see their teachers for next week, right now. It also means Monday is an open Flex day so students can see the teacher they need to as well.
3. Our teachers are ready to help you succeed. As a collective group, they have decided to work with your students upon their return to get caught up on what they missed during their remote time, retake assessments they may have missed before the fire and or get help academically. Our staff will not be administering any new Summative Assessments (i.e end of term tests) during this upcoming week. This means, this week they may begin new instruction on 4th quarter material, but they may also be flexible to give our students extra time to work on things they are missing and get caught up for the end of the quarter. Students need to communicate with them directly. FLEX use will be important to help speed that process up.
4. Monday 3/16 will be a "B" DAY.
We look forward to welcoming all of our students back to MHS. While this entire situation has not been ideal, we want to thank our MCSD, our faculty and staff and students and parents for all their patience as we navigated the online learning.
