Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news that our beloved English teacher, Lisa Griffin, passed away last week from her battle with cancer. Her career extended 23 years in MCSD at both Riverview and Murray High. She has been an institution here at Murray High School and a mentor for so many students. Her family has shared their overwhelming gratitude for MCSD, faculty and staff, and her students. We are all better people after knowing and working with Lisa Griffin.
We know that Lisa would want her students to continue to move forward and our plan is to honor her wish. Her legacy continues and we honor her wonderful career and life here at Murray High. Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to her family at this difficult time. Lisa’s family would like to invite anyone, including former and current students, to attend her celebration of life.
