Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! It is my pleasure to be your principal here at Murray High. Our school motto, Every Student, Every Day, Every Opportunity, represents the commitment from our faculty and staff to helping students achieve academic and personal success. We will pride ourselves on providing rich academic and co-curricular activities that are aimed to inspire you and motivate you to be your best.
At Murray High we are dedicated to supporting all learners in our community by helping them achieve their potential, master core standards, and attain the skills necessary to be successful in college, in careers, and in life. We admonish you to challenge yourselves and choose a rigorous program of study that will attract post-secondary institutions and future employers. The standards you set for yourselves in high school will help shape the people you will one day become.
The theme this year is “Reach Your Summit.” This year we are asking students to step up to the plate with new changes in our Flex and Hall Pass system. These, when used correctly, will help you reach, begin, or finish your summit here at Murray High. As students, your responsibility is to do your best, be your best, and help others to be their best. This doesn’t mean being perfect, ti means finding the right balance in your life to involve yourself in school activities and look for opportunities to learn and grow. The experience you have in high school is largely one of your own creation, so get to know what resources and opportunities are available to you and take advantage of them. It is never too late to start your summit! We believe in you and know how excellent you are. Aleas remember to… Serve, Participate, Achieve, Respect. Let’s SPAR On into the school year with purpose and a new resolve to either start, continue or finish reaching your summit!
